We worked together as a school to find and agree on an Active School slogan.
Our Active School Slogan is:
Get up, get moving, in school our brains are grooving!
Our school established an ASF committee at the start of the process.
Our school gives pupils many and varied pupil leadership roles.
The children in 4th, 5th and 6th class conducted a "What clubs are you in?" survey to find out about the physical activity opportunities in the local community.
Our active school committee emailed the Local Sports Partnership, Sports Active Wexford, to enquire about opportunities for young people, of all abilities and their families to get active in their local community. Anna mentioned about an upcoming Family Cycle on the greenway that she will send us the poster of.
We also emailed the local Sports Inclusion Disability Officer, Anna, in Sports Active Wexford to find out how we can become more inclusive as a school in terms of the PE and physical activity opportunities that we offer. She forwarded us ideas for inclusive games and activities for use in school.
